Best Office/Productivity/Diagramming Software

Version to use: I use the 2.0 version

Yes, it's true. OpenOffice.org is my favorite "productivity" software. I use it practically every day.

You may say, that's nice, but where are the templates and the "text to columns".

Well, poke around for a little while on OpenOffice.orgDocs and you should be able to find any feature that's missing.

Best Free Office Suite

YES! OOO 2.4 is the BEST FREE alternative to the BIG MS...

But you must try these also -

1.AbiWord [A MS Word replacement],
2.Gnumeric[A MS Excel replacement]
and
3.Floppy Office [Just 2mb<]........awesome!

Free alternative office software.

You should also try SSuite Office for a free office suite. They have a whole range of office suites that are free for download.

Their software also don't need to run on Java or .NET, like so many open source office suites, so it makes their software very small and efficient.
